I recently took a trip from New York City to Long
Island to visit my cousins. On the train ride there, I happened
to sit
down
at a
window that was completely blurry. It was as if I had
taken my glasses off (if I wore any) and all you could
make out were the fuzzy shapes flying by, glinting in
the morning sun. The result is what you see in this video:
an unfiltered, raw look at that footage, taken with a
Casio
Exilim.
When you consider the lyrics to "Brand New Colony,"
they speak to an incredible journey and the promise
of what's to come at the end. "We'll cut our bodies free
from the tethers of this scene, start
a brand
new
colony,
where everything will change..." There's a million decisions
we make each day and finding direction
in those
little
details is all a part of the journey. Figuring out where
you're going and how you're going to get there can be
pretty blurry sometimes... but in the end, it all becomes
clear. And if you look closely, you'll catch glimpses
of that clarity along the way.
