NYC - back again Uni style
Cruised down from MA to the citaaaee with my wingman Faucher to play an opeing solo set at Columbia Univ. with mentor and good friend, Brad Corrigan . The crowd of 60+ were into the groove and many thanks to all the students who stuck around after the show to chat it up and let me know how you felt about the music. It was a privledge to open the show for Braddigan, who has found his solo voice and is tearing it up on stage with percussionist Ray de Jesus. Looking forward with great anticipation to getting down there in the fall and hopefully playing again with the band in full bloom. Special thanks to Eash and John for promoting the gig and taking care of all the logistics.

Hey Brad,
I'm one of the students who stay around after the show at Columbia. (I'm from Texas, remember?) Just wanted to let you know that I love your CD and that you were awesome.
Good Luck,
Suselina
Oh! I'm so embarassed, I can't believe I called you Brad. SORRY!
Hi Suselina-
No worries..def. a compliment. Thanks for your kind words and I’m psyched you dig the tunes. Keep spreading the word - burn the hell out of the CD and pass it along to your friends - and hopefully I’ll be back at Columbia soon. I definitely remember meeting you and signing your CD....cool.
Best - J.E.
Thanks for coming to Columbia! I really enjoyed your music, and it was a memorable and intimate night of music. It's so nice to see someone so down to earth and personable. Please don't get a big head when you make it big!
Best to you,
Yang

Any more Midd shows in the upcoming year? I unfortunately missed your show at the Grille in January (abroad), but would love to see you perform if you're in VT either this summer or next year. And the CD is terrific, can't wait for the next one . . .
I'll advocate for my NYC friends to come see your show this Thursday! All the best,
Kirsten

You guys rock. Great to spend quality time with you down in Stonington. Still can't believe the size of that lobster! Next time I'll be sure to bring some pliers to work over those grandfather claws. Ann, tell Charlie that I'm ready to lend out my newly acquired expertise and blue blaze another trail. Hope you guys are doing great!
Kirsten - I am hoping to get back to Midd sometime in the fall, but we'll see. The Grille show in Jan. was pretty hilarious...everyone except the lacrosse guys were already on Feb. break. I need to get back up there and play for all you peeps while school is in full session. Let me know if you have any contacts at school that can book the band - the girl that booked the last gig has now graduated. Maybe I can recruit my man Pete Hall to step in and promte a whirlwind J.E.Borgen freaky festival.
Anyway, thanks for putting out the word to your friends in nyc and for your comments about the record. The cutting room is a great venue and we're stoked to play some new songs that are going to be on the next record, as well as some old "outside" gems.
Semester abroad....that was the best!
