Owl City in the Spotlight

It's a thrill to share that my work has been recognized for the second time by my friends at the top-notch email delivery service Campaign Monitor in their email design gallery, this time with a newsletter for the band Owl City. Campaign Monitor highlights the best of email designs from across their 50,000 customers in 100 countries... so it's a huge honor to be featured with the likes of skinnyCorp, The Morning News, and SXSW.Previously, my design for The Frequency (a newsletter that will soon be revived) was featured by Campaign Monitor and resulted in some awesome feedback from across the design industry. I have a blast delivering email campaigns with personality using Campaign Monitor's powerful tools. So it's just icing on the cake to receive accolades like this:
"From our long term (and talented) customer Armistead Booker comes this fun and appealing newsletter for the band Owl City. It has a really fresh feel, and the core content is all text, enhanced by some imagery. We particularly liked the big click targets - no miniscule font size and impossible to hit links here. The design is strongly tied to the bands website and merchandise too, without relying completely on images."
Wow. That's awesome. I have to give a shout-out to StudioAKT for their playful artwork and to Foundations Music for their management of the project. And if you're new to the sounds of Owl City, definitely check it out... Adam Young's music sits at the intersection of a cheerful Death Cab for Cutie and an optimistic Depeche Mode. CD Baby raves that Owl City is "nothing short of happy electronic pop being force-fed a healthy diet of keyboard smoothies."

Dude, congrats! That newsletter looks so tasty. For real.
